About LinkPad

LinkPad is a minimalist, real-time workspace designed to strip away distractions and let you focus entirely on your thoughts, code, or collaborative drafts.

How to Use LinkPad

• Create or Join a Room: There are no accounts. Simply type any word after the URL (e.g., linkpad.online/meeting). Anyone at that exact URL will instantly see the same notepad.
• Real-Time Collaboration: Share your specific room link with others. Every keystroke syncs automatically across all connected devices in milliseconds.
• Lock Room (PIN Security): Click the "Lock Room" button at the bottom to secure your current URL with a custom PIN. Once locked, no one can view or edit the room without the code.
• Quick Actions: Use the bottom toolbar to instantly Copy the entire document to your clipboard, Paste text, or completely Clear the room.
• Download Notes: Click the download icon in the top right corner to instantly save your workspace. You can save the file with any extension you need (such as .txt, .md, or .py) directly to your device.
• Custom Themes: Use the dropdown menu in the bottom left to switch between Dark Mode, Light Mode, or sync with your operating system's default preference.

The Architecture

Built with speed and privacy in mind, LinkPad utilizes WebSockets to ensure sub-second synchronization across all connected devices. With features like mandatory PIN-locked rooms, your data remains secure and isolated.

The Developer

Hey, it's Vipal Shah here. Thank you so much for using LinkPad!

I originally built this project because I needed a completely frictionless, distraction-free space to jot down code snippets, project ideas, and daily thoughts. I am deeply passionate about backend software engineering and system architecture.

I hope this tool helps you stay focused and productive. If you have any feedback, feature requests, or just want to connect, feel free to drop me a line at linkpadonline@gmail.com.
